TopCashback is the UK biggest cashback platform that partners with thousands of retailers to reward consumers for their online purchases. By shopping through the TopCashback platform, members earn a percentage of their spending back as cashback. Uncharted reached out to me to create TopCashback’s first ever Sonic Logo as part of their new brand platform “Next Level Spending Powers” The campaign “Summon the Power of Joy Joy” repositions the UK’s leading cashback platform as magical support for modern shoppers, built around the idea of double joy. The thrill of a perfect purchase combined with the emotional hit of receiving cashback.
Together with the team at TopCashback and Uncharted, we worked in close collaboration creating the Sonic Logo. The sonic logo is shaped around a syllable-driven rhythm, with a clear focus on the three beats in the pronunciation of Top-Cash-Back, giving the brand name a musical structure that feels both playful, memorable and capturing the uplift and dopamine-driven energy of the brand. It now runs across TV, cinema, digital, social and are ready to be built in the app, giving the brand a clear and consistent sound wherever it shows up.
